Rudolf (Rudi) Wolf was a designer and an artist. We think this is one of his nicest works.
A sculpture is always three dimensional, but in this case it is the very subject of it. It is a cartesian knot in which three elements each follow one of the three spatial dimensions (XYZ). The elements lock each other in place in a triangular construction, yet the angles are cubic and the elements are round cylinders that emphasize that there is only a single connection point. Interesting how circle, square and triangle relate.
As you can see it had a sticker on it from the last gallery. We have removed the sticker to do the work justice. The picture only serves as a reference
